The McNeese Regional Honor Bands Are Going to Be Amazing!

The McNeese State University Bands will host the McNeese Regional High School Honor Band Weekend, February 16-17-18, 2017. 

High school band directors from across Louisiana and Texas nominated over 150 of their best student-musicians for participation, from which musicians for two concert bands were selected.  The students will participate in full-band rehearsals, master classes from McNeese faculty on their specific instruments, and attend a special McNeese Wind Symphony concert at 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 17.  The high school honor bands will present their concert at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 18, in the McNeese performing arts theatre.  All concerts are free and open to the public.  David Kehler, Director of Bands at the Kennesaw State University, and Ross Boothman, past president of the Texas Music Educators Association and retired Director of Bands at Lumberton High School, will serve as the honor band clinicians/conductors. The following high schools will be represented in the honor band:
